  • Lenten Service in Church

    Today, Friday 31st March, we gathered in Church for our whole school Lenten Service. Father O'Shea praised our behaviour and commented on the fabulous singing and well-practised readers.

  • Y5 Magistrates Workshop

    This morning, Year 5 were visited by two local Magistrates - Chris and Sarah - who talked about their role in the Community. It was a very interesting and engaging workshop. At the end of the session, the children enjoyed participating in a Question and Answer with the Magistrates. 

  • First Confessions

    On Thursday 30th March and Friday 31st March 2023, we made our First Confessions in the Confessional at St Patrick's Church. Father O'Shea praised how well prepared we were for this important Sacrament.

  • Our Patronal Feast 2023

    To conclude the celebrations for our Patronal Feast Day, we held a Procession of St Patrick's Statue and Banners into Church. Fr O'Shea was the Principal Celebrant at Mass, assisted by Canon MacNally and Deacon Anil. It was a beautiful celebration of the Eucharist for our special day. Thank you to everybody who joined us. Father O'Shea praised our beautiful singing and was delighted we had learned all of the verses to 'Hail, Glorious St Patrick!'. Happy Feast Day.

    This morning, as part of our Patronal Feast Celebrations, Stay and Pray Prayer and Worship was delivered by the Year 5 Children. The Theme was 'Saint Patrick'. Thank you to the parents, carers, family members and parishioners who joined us.

  • Y3 Money Sense Workshop

    Y3 took part in a money sense workshop. The children found out about the different costs involved to run a home. They then explored how much money they would need to power all of the appliances they would use at home. 

  • Y6 Visit to Wigan Life Centre - Industrial Revolution

    Y6 visited Wigan Life Centre for a workshop based on the Industrial Revolution. Throughout the Industrial Revolution, Wigan was an important market town with many materials and commodities produced by its residents, including coal, pewter goods and clocks. The children explored the impact the Industrial Revolution had upon Wigan and it's importance as a town.
