‘The Lord God then took the man and settled him in the garden of Eden, to cultivate and care for it’ (Genesis 2:15).
At St Patrick’s Catholic Primary School, we are delighted to have had our ‘LiveSimply’ Action Plan approved by CAFOD. The LiveSimply Award is a challenge for all of us to live simply, sustainably and in solidarity with the poor. In doing so, we are listening to Pope Francis’ call in Laudato Si’ to be “responsible within creation and our duties towards nature”.
Over the course of this academic year and in to the next, we will be working on our nine identified Actions. These will involve a mixture of activities and Worship in class, outside the classroom and through organised events at St Patrick’s Church. As part of our LiveSimply Journey, we invite all members of our St Patrick’s Family to participate.
If you have any questions about the LiveSimply Award, please speak to school’s LiveSimply Coordinator, Mr Marshall. For more information about the Award, please visit: https://cafod.org.uk/Campaign/LiveSimply-award.
Please hold the success of our school’s attempt to achieve the Award in your prayers.
