  • It's not THAT wet!

    Thu 13 Sep 2012
Hello everyone, Miss McVitie and Mrs Tighe here. The children are all getting their disco clothes on ready to boogie! They've had a brilliant day, the weather has been good. It was lovely this morning for the zip wire and quad bikes. Wow that was fun! This afternoon we have been on the lake kayaking, scary at first because the kayaks wobbled on the water and we kept bumping into each other like dodgem cars.  And we got wet, some more than others. But we all enjoyed it.
Tomorrow we will have two activities before a picnic lunch and then we will set off for home. I wonder how many of us will fall asleep on the coach!
  • Wet Wednesday!!

    Wed 12 Sep 2012
This morning was lovely and sunny but cold. Our activities were high ropes and the challenge course. The high ropes were very high, we had to complete a circuit in the sky! Not everyone managed it but everyone climbed to the top and most stepped out on to the platform (Mrs Tighe didn't, she said she was the official photographer! The challenge course was good, it was on the ground and involved climbing, swinging, crawling and problem solving.
After lunch we went to climb Jacob's Ladder. That was really hard and it poured down on us. Not our favourite activity! Tomorrow we are going on the zip wire and quad bikes in the morning and kayaking in the afternoon. We have to get our dry bags ready tonight. And we hope it doesn't rain again.
  • An awesome day!

    Tue 11 Sep 2012
Today has been great. After breakfast we either did archery or wenon the giant swing, then we did the opposite. Elisha said the giant swing made her belly tickle and Ethan thought it was awesome. Everybody had a go which was great.
After lunch we went to the lake to build our rafts. That was god fun, we all got wet but we all loved it!  We've had our tea now and are getting ready to play a game called passport, it's a bit like a treasure hunt.
Last night were a bit late settling down. Miss McVitie and Mrs Tighe hope we go to bed earlier tonight!
Today has gone really quickly. We are all getting on well, helping each other and working together.
  • We've arrived!

    Mon 10 Sep 2012
Y6 have arrived at Boreatton Park. The journey took about 90 minutes so we're a bit early. We are just unpacking and then we will explore for a while until our "groupie" (PGL team leader) comes to meet us at about 3 pm. The children are really excited, they clapped and cheered when we pulled up! We'!! Keep in touch.
