Keep up to date with all the news happening in school at the moment.
Today, we celebrated our Advent Service in Church. Over £90 was raised towards the work of CAFOD. Well done to all those children who assisted during the Service (including those who read, supported with the music and those who lit the Advent Candles). Thank you to Father O'Shea for leading us so beautifully in prayer.
Today, the children enjoyed a delicious Christmas dinner with all the trimmings! They had fun joining in with Christmas Carols whilst eating their lunch.
Thank you to our Local Councillors, who have kindly donated a range of equipment to help us with one of our LiveSimply action points: organising litter picks within the school grounds and locality. Councillor Jim Moodie is pictured with Mr Marshall, Mr McConnell and our first group of excited litter pickers!
Congratulations to the children in Year 5 and Year 6, who availed themselves to the Sacrament of Reconciliation during the Liturgical Season of Advent, over the last two Thursdays after the 9:15am Mass. Father O'Shea praised the children's behaviour, understanding of and respect for the Sacrament.
Today, we are delighted to have our LiveSimply Award Action Plan approved by CAFOD (The Catholic Agency for Overseas Development). As part of our Action Plan, we will work towards achieving nine identified actions that encourage us to live sustainably, in solidarity and simply. To follow our LiveSimply Journey, please look on the Catholic Life of the School Arrow. For more information about the LiveSimply Award, please speak to our LiveSimply Co-Ordinator, Mr Marshall.
Today, Commando Joe visited our school and completed lots of activities and challenges with us but we had to work as a team in order to complete the challenges. We did really well!
