What a fantastic day! Eight Y6 children spent the day at the Soccer Dome competing against over 40 school teams from across Wigan.
Even though we were unsuccessful in reaching the knockout stages of the competition the children were fantastic and took the league stages right to the last game where a victory would have secured us a place in the quarter final. Unfortunately after going 2-0 up we were defeated by Worsley Meynes Primary School and they secured a place in the next stage of the competition.
The highlights of the competition, apart from our team spirit, were our 10-0 victory over Aspull Church B team and the selection of two of our girls to go and train with Wigan Ladies Football Club!
Well done to all the children who took part. You did Saint Patrick's proud!!!
