Start of Academic Year Mass and Veneration of the Relic of the True Cross

This morning, Thursday 14th September, we gathered as a School and Parish Family for our Start of Academic Year Mass. Our thanks to Father O'Shea and all the many parents and carers who joined us in church today. It was a truly beautiful gathering. Father O'Shea taught us in his Homily about how the Cross of Our Lord was discovered by St Helen and how blessed we are, as a Parish, to have our own small Relic of the True Cross. Later, Bethany and Josh (Y6) were the two lucky children chosen to have their picture with the Relic. There was a moment, during the Mass, for all children to pray before this special Relic.

St Patrick, Apostle of Ireland and Patron of our School, pray for us!
