Are you a parent / carer of children and young people with an EHC Plan who are due to transition to primary or secondary school in September 2026?

Wigan Council’s SEND Team is inviting all parent / carers to come along and join one of our free information sharing sessions.

The information sharing sessions will provide you with important information that you will need to consider when preparing for your child’s transition to primary or secondary school including:

• What the Annual Review / Transition Review process will look like for your child.
• The process for amending your child’s EHC Plan in readiness for their transition.
• Important things to consider when choosing your child’s preferred school
• How to let the council know what your preferred school(s) is

There will also be an opportunity to ask representatives from Wigan Council SEND Team any questions you have about your child’s transition to primary or secondary school.
