What are the different types of support available at St. Patrick's for children with SEND?
The Code of Practice 2014 identifies four main areas of need: Communication and Interaction, Cognition and learning, Social, Emotional and Mental Health issues, and Sensory and/or Physical needs.
St. Patrick’s Catholic Primary School offers a range of specific targeted support in these areas. Different interventions and approaches are used to address specific areas of need and we would look closely at your child’s individual needs when deciding how best to support your child and which interventions would best suit their needs. All interventions used at St. Patrick's have been shown to have a positive impact on pupil learning.
