Prayer and Worship

At St Patrick's, we believe that Prayer and Worship in a Catholic school names and celebrates God’s presence in our lives.  It is concerned with giving glory, honour, praise and thanks to God.  It is our loving response, in word and action, to God’s invitation to enter into relationship, made possible through the work of Jesus Christ and the witness of the Holy Spirit.

Children are encouraged to plan and participate in their own celebrations, such as: Class Prayer and Worship, School Assemblies, Class Masses, Class Prayer, Feast Days and Seasonal Celebrations. Collective Worship is celebrated every day.  This may be as a Class, Unit, Key Stage or Whole School.  In our school, we are blessed to have special places of prayer and regular visits are made to Saint Patrick's Church and Lucy's Garden for Worship.
