Summer 1 in Year 1

D&T

During our D&T Theme Week this term, we used different textiles to create our own planets from our Solar System.  We explored and described different textiles, organised our textiles into 8 different planet categories, and we designed our own textiles planet. We practiced cutting and sticking different textiles onto our planets for our final product.  Midway through making our final product, we evaluated our planets and decided on improvements we wanted to make.  We then followed these evaluations to finalise our products and finished this topic by completing a final evaluation.
