Remembrance Day
We learned about why we celebrate Remembrance Day by going through a PowerPoint. We also linked our reading to the day by looking at the poem 'In Flanders Fields' and then predicted and discussed what some words we were unfamilar with meant. After that, we took part in a collective worship and then took part in the two-minute silence to remember those who lost their lives.
"We remember all the soldiers who died" - Charlie.
"We wear poppies because they grew in fields where the soldiers fought" - Conner.
