P.E.

At Saint Patrick’s we use the iPEP P.E scheme to deliver high quality P.E lessons each week.  Over the course of the year, we aim to develop children’s skills across dance, gymnastics, games and athletics.

In addition to P.E lessons and extra-curricular after school clubs, all children take part in organised games at lunchtimes.

School PE Kit

It is important that all children participate in their P.E lessons and to ensure your child has the correct school PE kit in school. Our school P.E kit requires children to wear a pair of green P.E shorts, pumps and a white t-shirt.

Swimming:

While in Y3, children attend swimming lessons for half of the academic year.  These swimming lessons aim to develop each child’s skills to:

  • Swim competently and confidently over a distance of at least 25 metres
  • Use a range of strokes effectively
  • Perform self-rescue in different water based situations
