Physical Education
At Saint Patrick's Catholic Primary School, we use the IPEP Scheme to support our teaching of PE. In accordance with the statutory requirements, each week we have a PE lesson and time for outdoor games and activities. Our topics, which change each half term, enable us to achieve the different strands of the PE National Curriculum.
Year 6 PE topics:
Autumn 1 - ' Complex Sequences' Gymnastics focus;
Autumn 2 - 'Competitive' Invasion focus;
Spring 1 - 'Teamwork' Strike and Field focus;
Spring 2 - 'Street Dance' Dance focus;
Summer 1 - 'Finding Success' Outdoor focus;
Summer 2 - 'Going for Gold' Athletics focus.
