Geography - Eruption
In this topic they children learnt all about volcanoes. They began by naming the different parts of a volcano, then they looked at the the three different types of volcano and how they are created. After that they found out about how a volcano erupts and the impact this has on the surrounding areas, then they focused on the physical and human features in volcanic areas. Finally they used maps and atlases to locate and name famous volcanoes around the world and used this knowledge to write a non-chronological report about volcanoes.
