‘Eruption’ Topic - Printing
Within our art topic ‘Eruption’, the children used a variety of art techniques to design and create a large piece of art as a class. First, the children explored artists who use patterns to then create their own using rotation, symmetry and reflection. They created their patterns by using a pattern stencil. Next, they used printing to create a pattern for our design purpose (art display). When they had completed their printing design, children had the opportunity to evaluate their final piece looking at the techniques that they used and commenting on how they could improve it.
