Action Point - Advent Assemblies Preparation (2 Sessions)
Over two sessions, we planned and then created assemblies (for both children in KS1 and KS2) about the Liturgical Season of Advent. We used the school’s format for planning Collective Worships: Gather, Listen, Respond and Go Forth; before considering and gathering different resources. We delivered our Collective Worships around school. In the second session, we also wrote a number of Reflections to be read at the end of each Year Group’s Christmas Performance. We enjoyed sharing the True Meaning of Christmas with the audience and leading them in prayer. Father O’Shea kindly commented that he thought our Reflections were “beautifully written and fantastic”.
