We have had a very exciting term of sport this term with the netball team beginning their friendlies in preparation for the tournament in May and the Y6 football team playing their first league match this evening. Good luck!
The basketball team began the competitions this term competing in the West Wigan Basketball Tournament at Abraham Guest Academy. The team really supported each other and their captain did a fabulous job supporting the newer players. The team finished 3rd in their group and should be very proud of their performance.
Next the Y5 boy's football team competed in a competition at the Soccordome. The boys displayed some fantastic teamwork and managed to finish 4th in their group. Well done boys!
Finally the Y5 girl's football team competed at the Soccordome. The girls won all of their games and were the overall winners of the tournament. Next they play the East Wigan winners on the 15th June and may go on to represent Wigan in the Manchester Youth Games. Well done to all of our girls on a fantastic team performance and well done to the team captain who was scouted by Wigan Athletic . Good luck in the Wigan finals girls!
